The Perfect Steak
The Perfect Steak
Ingredients
- Preffered steak - typical 8oz (fillet/sirloin/rib eye)
- Salt and pepper
- Oil
- Butter
Method (pan fried)
- Season meat and add to frying pan with a little oil
- Cook for 5 mins on a high heat then turn, cook for another 5 mins on a high heat
- Add a good knob of butter ans baiste the steak with juices in the pan - do this at least four times
- This steak will be medium cooked, for well done cook for a further 5 mins before adding butter
Method (oven cooked - thicker steak)
- Season meat and add to frying pan with a little oil to seal meat - this will only take a couple of minutes
- Pre-heat oven to hottest possible setting
- Place meat in an oven ready dish and cook for:
