Sweet and Sour Sauce

For use with Chicken, Pork or Prawns

Ingredients

  • 1/2 Pint of water
  • 1/4 Pint of vinegar
  • 4oz sugar
  • Small tin of pineapple chunks
  • 6 Tablespoons tomato puree
  • 1/2 Carrot cut into thin strips
  • 25mls of soysauce
  • 3 Tablespoons of corn flour (mixed with cold water into a thin paste)

Method

  • Place the water, vinegar, sugar, puree and soy sauce into a pan and bring to the boil
  • Thicken with the corn flour
  • Add the carrot and pineapple to finish
